The Challenge

Philips Lighting was ready to bring a new range of portable lighting to market. This new generation of lighting allows the switch from mood to full colour lighting. Design Board was asked to develop the packaging for the range.

Concept & Solution

After mapping out the complete product scope, we started working on mock-ups and sketches. We focused on the straightforward depiction on the packaging of the product directions. We took into account the shelf impact of the products in different markets, EMEA, USA-Canada and Mexico.


We delivered a complete line of packaging materials, created manuals and produced two displays – for floor and shelf – so that the products can be presented efficiently and distinctively in different types of stores. It is a surprisingly illuminated example of adaptive design.
